Northshore National Philanthropy Day slated for Nov. 20

The Greater Northshore Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) announced the first an annual Northshore National Philanthropy Day celebration on November 20, 2008.

AFP sponsors the annual awards program to recognize outstanding achievement by individual, foundation and corporate philanthropists and fundraising volunteers.

Award nominations are being sought from nonprofit organizations throughout St. Tammany and the Florida Parishes and will be accepted through August 29, 2008. Call (985) 649-8820 for nomination forms.

• Outstanding Leadership in Corporate Philanthropy
• Outstanding Foundation.
