Date Set for LANO Streamlining Testimony

BATON ROUGE—On Friday, October 23, at 2:00pm, LANO President and CEO Ann S. Williamson will testify before the Outsourcing, Privatization and Risk-Management Advisory Group of the State Commission on Streamlining Government.

The group will convene at the Lafayette Consolidated Government Building, 705 W. University Avenue, in the 2nd floor executive conference room.

The Advisory Group includes: Chairman Roy O. Martin, and members Brett F. Geymann, Bill Fenstermaker, David R. Perry, and Raymond A. Peters.

Williamson’s testimony will include an overview of the nonprofit sector’s role in providing efficient, effective human services to Louisiana citizens, and how the Commission’s recommendations might impact nonprofits’ continued viability.

RELATED: The Commission on Streamlining Government, through its chairman, Senator Jack Donahue, is seeking input in ways to decrease expenditures in Louisiana state government. They request your assistance by offering suggestions through this online form. Prompt action is urged as the Commission must determine, compile, and submit its report by December 15th.
